Steel Drum Projekt „Big Pan“
The Pan Groove Steel Orchestra from Bielefeld/Detmold and the Steel Orchester Port of Pan Bielefeld/Ostwestfalen present their joint project.
Together Port of Pan and Pan Groove bring 40 steel pans and 20 players to the stage or the truck. The band leader, Peter Wröbel, has arranged a repertoire of Caribbean, South American and Afro-American musical elements. Styles like Calypso, Soca, Reggae and Salso belong to the mix and guarantee a rhythmic listening pleasure.

Over the years Tropical Isles has built up a high reputation engaging young people within the community with dance performances, costume design, craft, and carnival creative arts, youth regional and international touring programme.
